These gorgeous wabi-sabi clay vessels were used by Gold Rush era assayers in Nevada County, California, to determine the value of the gold ores brought in by prospectors. They are coated with the glassy remains of melted minerals. Wonderful and evocative! Not food-grade. Set of two.
