Monk's Bowl

$25.00

We’re calling this a monk’s bowl because it’s about the same size as the bowls that Buddhist monks carry (in Thailand and Burma), to receive food from members of their community. Also because, if you were going to only have a few objects of contemplation in your spare cell, you might want this interesting bowl to be one of them. Very slightly squared-off, and proportioned like a tea bowl (chawan), but much larger. Many odd and pleasing textures are developed in the glaze, perhaps even on purpose. No mark.
